A3E Diagrams & Markdown for Confluence

Privacy policy

A3E Diagrams & Markdown for Confluence. Effective 24 September 2026.

Who we are

A3E Ecosystem Inc, Ontario, Canada, makes and supports this app. Contact: info@a3eecosystem.com.

What the app does with your content

The Mermaid code you type into a diagram is saved by Confluence as part of the macro on your page, inside your own Atlassian site, like any other page content. The diagram is drawn in your browser. The app does not copy your content anywhere else.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no server of its own: it runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform, makes no calls to outside services, sets no cookies of its own, and has no analytics or tracking. We cannot see your diagrams, your pages or who views them.

Information Atlassian handles

Atlassian runs the app and passes it the context it needs to show a diagram (for example the site and page it is on). The app uses that context only to draw the diagram and does not store it. When a page is exported to PDF or Word, Confluence asks the app's export function, on Atlassian's platform, for a text version of the diagram; nothing is kept. Licensing and billing are handled by the Atlassian Marketplace under Atlassian's own privacy policy.

Support messages

If you email us for support, we use your message and address only to answer you, and keep them no longer than needed to do so.

Changes

If the app ever starts to handle personal data, this page will say so before the change is released, with the new effective date.
